Motion-magnified Bag of Chips
Просмотров 7 тыс.8 лет назад
We use our motion magnification technique to visualize motions in a bag of chips induced by sound. At the bottom are four videos, each magnifying motions at a frequency corresponding to one of the four dominant tones in MIDI music we played close to the bag of chips. Each motion-magnified video is highlighted when its corresponding note is played. (all the videos are playing throughout the clip...
Revealing Invisible Changes In The World

Our video that won an honorable mention in the NSF International Science & Engineering Visualization Challenge 2012, showcasing new algorithms we developed to analyze and reveal small imperceptible color and motion signals in videos. Read more about the project here: people.csail.mit.edu/mrub/vidmag/ NOTE: some of the results in this video were created using new, unpublished techniques, differe...

Me when I'm on shrooms
i like how people present the craziest tech but record their voices with the worst microphone they can find to present it. thats style i guess!
What if we make timelapse of human aging with this? or change in facial expressions? it would be awesome
that's how my smartwatch works measuring heart rate!
Oh boy I wonder in what ways DARPA is using this tech
Wow, the use cases of motion amp. and color amp. is insane!
This went quiet because it was militarized.
great video
ELEVEN YEARS AGO
this is incredible research
lame lolz
i wonder why did youtube start recommending this video now lol
insane
thanks, Mr. (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Rubinstein)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
круто
11 years prior, they didn't need no AI or GPT bullshit to make awesome technologies
Interesting surname
Sophisticated BS.
Now I know what acid does to my vision.
just in case you want a video with even more explanations and practical examples, like how they use it in factories and engines and such... Look up this video "Reveal Invisible Motion With This Clever Video Trick"
An 11 year old video appeared in my video today. Glad it did... this is a very interesting topic, well-covered in the video.
it took 11 years, for me to see it
Its amplification, not magnification.
Does anyone know if this has ever been practically used in the medical field or if there are any devices being developed based on this technology?
this how exterminator AI mfs will be scanning for human life
It only took RUclips's algorithm 11 years to get this knowledge out to the public lol
This is insane, wtf, we are getting into the type of technology from blade runner
amazing
this was 11 years ago wow
can this be done in reverse? to reduce motion in a video?
gimmie an app that let's me do this please!!!
just wait until the Eularians invade earth and make us their bidet slaves.
Am I the only one who reminds this motion and color magnification to the effects of the visuals of LSD? 😅 Maybe even thats what happens, when you take it: You get more sensitive to color/motion changes. That would also make sense because all your other senses feel to get more sensitive and amplified. Nevertheless: really great work and it has so many fields of application!
Interesting.
thats crazyyy
There are people in the world who do this.
They use this stuff for security applications, like airports
he did amplify american football
Steve Mould has a video about similar technique. I'ts called "Reveal Invisible Motion With This Clever Video Trick"
HAHA please take the microphone out of your mouth X'D This could be the most interesting paper ever but I just can't bare the sound so I can't listen.
two minute papers guy??
two minute papers guy????
"The user can .... She can also ....." That's the most vile, sickening thing I heard in a long. But don't worry, there's a thing called karma.
ENHANCE
This is neat!
FTTHUFF TUFF IS THEN TRUFF TRUFF AN PUFFTRUFF.
wow it's already been 11 years? it feels like yesterday since i saw this first demonstrated. time really is merciless.
Steve Mould made a video about this technology application. really awesome.
i wonder why this is taking off more so now. but this is some fascinating stuff.
